Rotary Club of Birmingham
The Rotary Club of Birmingham, founded in 1913, is one of the largest Rotary clubs in the world. RCB has played a leading role in eliminating Polio worldwide, expanding access to Pre-K in Birmingham, and enhancing cancer treatment and prevention in Sri Lanka, Guatemala and Alabama. Rotary Trail, our centennial gift to Birmingham, is a signature attraction downtown. For more than 110 years, we have been bringing together civic leaders in our community to learn, exchange ideas, and take action to solve critical community problems in Birmingham and beyond. We engage our members to improve the community through service, education and fellowship under the Rotary motto: Service Above Self.

Spotlight Projects
Rotary Trail
Rotary Trail is our centennial gift to the Birmingham community. Completed in 2015, the 3.5-million-dollar project transformed an abandoned railroad cut into a landscaped, four-block walking/running/biking pathway. The trail and surrounding area have become a destination for visitors and residents alike and are among the most photographed places in Birmingham.

Needs include horticulture enhancement, lighting and hardscape additions, art installations, and programming of activities. Together, we can ensure Birmingham remains one of the most vibrant areas in the state with venues for active lifestyles that engage our community, attract economic investment and create a better quality of life.
